Disneyland Park, California, the happiest place on earth, has started welcoming guests back with its phased reopening. The theme park limits its guest capacity based on CDC guidelines and mandates visitors to follow their safety protocols, which includes physical distancing and wearing of face masks at all times. Additionally, Disneyland does not accommodate walk-in guests and only admits California residents at the moment; thus, local tourists hoping to visit must book their tickets at least a week in advance through the Disneyland Resort website or mobile app.

The following are some important reminders from Disneyland Resort:

-Only California residents may visit the park grounds; proof of residency may be required.

-Guests (ages 3 and older) will need a valid ticket and theme park reservation for the same day and park they wish to visit.

-Guests, including children ages 2 and older, are required to wear face-covering during their visit.

-There will be temperature checks upon entry to some locations at the park.

-Physical distancing of 6 feet or 2 meters must be observed; physical contact with Disneyland Park cast members and other employees, such as hugging, will not be allowed.

-Contactless transactions are encouraged at the park.

As stated on Disneyland Resort’s website, the park reserves the right to refuse and/or ask guests to leave if they fail to comply with their protocols. For now, Downtown Disney District, Disneyland Park and Disneyland Adventure Park, and Disney Grand Californian Hotel & Spa are operating. The Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel will reopen at a later date, possibly by mid-Summer 2021.
